My favorite piece of technology!

I love my cellphone. I know it sounds very basic, but I truly cannot live without it… I could live without social media, without a computer, but I cannot live without my mobile. It’s my favorite piece of technology because I have all my favorite applications on it: Pinterest to keep me vibing calm and update of fashion and aesthetics, Kindle so I can read PDFs, Twitter, Stardust, Letterbox and others. Furthermore, I can be updated on the news, which is one of my useful tools as a journalist. It keeps me organized too, which is very valuable because I have tons of different things to do everyday! Ironically, I don’t use my cellphone to make phone calls, lol. Principally because the microphone it’s in a bad state, so nobody can hear me talk. However, long before this, I didn’t like to take or make calls. Despite this, I will always recomend to have one for yourselves.

Why did I choose my major?

I'm in my fourth year of journalism.    Studying journalism wasn't my first option. I did a complete year of literature at the University of Santiago de Chile in 2018. In 2019, I changed my mind and got into journalism at this university. Was life changing; until now, I’ve been having an amazingly fruitful experience, with a lot of ups and downs.  When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a writer, also a pop star (I was such a Disney girl…), a teacher, a tarotist, and a lot of other things I thought I was good at. And to go on with my dream-job, I decided journalism could be such a rich experience to develop the greatest skills. My boyfriend's dad said once: “Studying a career should give you the skills to become whatever you want to become”.

Who am I?

I was born in the last century, the last trimester of 1999. I was the third of five children and we used to live in Antofagasta.  I ended up high school in a semi-private institution because my mom invested in my education even tho she can barely pay for it, so when I chose journalism as my major, it could have cause some disappointment.  I have been living in Santiago for the last six years and I can define myself as an independent person. I’m constantly chatting with my little sister (she's 21 and the funniest person I know) and my mom, who just lost her job 😿.  I’m currently invested in investigating music industry and other social issues of nowadays, like migration and political crisis.
